I mainly shop at Aldi then Lidl on the same day. I've noticed Aldi has "quietly" been jacking up some prices and replacing them with more expensive ones. Now I think overall this is the best supermarket for frugal people but you have to know your prices. For example, they used to have their "home brand ricotta and it was reasonable. Then they replaced it with some other brand and raised the price quite a bit. So now I'm making sure which store has cheaper items I buy and not just blindly "buying" at one place.
Being frugal, you constantly have to keep the game rotating…
Just FYI…SuperWalmart here is not "cheap" and we don't really have discount stores for food like a lot of places, just a lot of markets. I go to the ethnic market (Spanish/Caribbean/Turkish) sometime for quality fruits/veg.
I've discovered Lidl is cheaper than Aldi for a lot of things I buy now.

Lidl hasn’t made it past the East Coast yet.
Which Aldi do you have? AldiSud in the UK is the superior supermarket hands down
Aldi just came to my area and I’ve been less than impressed. For the things I buy, Costco or my local grocery stores have been cheaper on almost everything except raw spinach, and I’m not driving twenty minutes each way to pay .20 less for spinach lol.
What’s the frugal tip here? By comparing prices at different supermarkets you can save money on certain products? News to everyone
