      An exchange of fire in a naval and air conflict does not equate to boots on the ground. There is absolutely zero confirmation from the Pentagon, NPR, or any credible defense correspondent that US paratroopers have landed on Qeshm Island. The US has staged the 82nd Airborne and thousands of Marines in the region recently, but the administration explicitly maintains they have not launched a ground invasion.

      However, I’d be surprised if the U.S. had not infiltrated at least a few operators into the site, for however long.

      Other Press and US Government sources state that US attacks were carried out against millitary and port sites on Qeshm island in response to attacks on three US destroyers, and that the conditions on the island were now back to normal. No troops landed.

      Post is fake news. The linked article on the tweet is actually just a screen shot. Reuters are not/have not yet reported anything on boots on the ground in Iran.
