Hey guys, I’m no entrepreneur, just a guy that happens to love ai and use it more in depth than most would dream of on a daily basis due to having always loved tech.

Just wondering about doing projects for companies e.g. if they want a certain process automated if this is something I can get into?

And if so, how do I start with no customer base?

Just want some extra cash on the side and wondering if this is an actual gig

    Sorry to bother!

    Is ai consulting saturated?

Probably, and if not, it certainly won’t belong until it is. Not to say you can’t attempt it, but the barrier to entry is basically non existent so there are constantly new people creating their own businesses to do the exact same thing. So if you want to make it work you’ll have to get familiar with marketing, niches and sales.

It’s saturated at the “I can automate anything” layer, not at the “I understand this exact messy business process” layer. Pick one painful workflow, do it manually once, then automate the boring parts.

Not saturated, just noisy. Start with one local business. Automate one annoying task for free. Show the value. Then ask for payment.

One happy customer beats a hundred cold emails. Just be honest about what AI can’t do. You’ve got this.
