I remember being 18 and a Senior in high school in 2006 and asking my Dad if I could open an investment account.
He told me that I needed to have “about $5k” or the stock advisor wouldn’t talk to me, and that I had to save up and move out and get a better car first.
I then was just broke for the next decade.
I wonder sometimes how my life would have been had I been able to stay at home and invested back then.
