Apple & Intel have reached a preliminary agreement for Intel to manufacture some of the chips that power the iPhone maker's devices, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Intensive talks between the two companies have been underway for more than a year, and they hammered out a formal deal in recent months, the report said.

Big move… market clearly likes the narrative. If true, it’s a strong signal for Intel’s foundry story and long-term positioning. Short term though, a 17% spike can bring some pullback or consolidation. Good news, just worth watching how price behaves after the initial reaction
That’s a no for me dog. I still remember the last time Intel made mobile chips. It didn’t end too well.
