In January I paid off 2/6 of my student loans, but had an overpayment on both loans. I have been trying for 5 months to figure this out. Every single time I called, the only option is to talk to a “regular” person who I already know can’t help me with this. They have to transfer me to an “advanced” rep. Every time I’m hold for hours waiting for an “advanced” rep and have never gotten through until today. Why today? A “system outage” so no one can help today….. I just want to transfer my over payment to my other loans…

The best thing about no longer having student loans wasn’t the saved money, or the feeling of a job well-done, etc.. it was knowing I would never in my life have to deal with MOHELA ever again.
I have to call AidVantage and fight about paid ahead status for my brother tomorrow so I’m hoping they are more reasonable. Good luck to you.
They will refund the overpayment to you automatically eventually, you don’t need to take any action.
I don’t think it’s possible to move the payment from one loan to another.
