How do you guys stay on top of all your credit card benefits/perks and actually remember to use them before they expire?
I feel like every card has random monthly, quarterly, or yearly credits now and I always end up forgetting half of them. Uber credits, airline credits, hotel perks, streaming, Clear, TSA PreCheck, random offers, etc.
Curious what systems people use:
- spreadsheets?
- calendar reminders?
- apps?
- just memory?
Feels like there should be a better way to track all this lol
Losing benefits in credit cards with high annual fees

Memory
It really seems like issuers, especially Amex are purposely trying to make benefits more difficult to use and hope people don’t keep good track.
Spreadsheets and calendar reminders do the work fine. There are also apps for this if that fits you better.
Worth asking yourself if these cards are for you if you struggle to actually use the credits.
I think calendar reminders tied to each annual fee date work better than spreadsheets. Set them 60 and 30 days out for anything with expiration or enrollment deadlines.
The hardest one can be the monthly credits that require separate activation. Amex especially has several that don’t auto-apply.
There are app that just does this automatically. A few are trying to solve it worth searching the App Store for “credit card benefits tracker” if you want something beyond a spreadsheet. Worth it if managing a few more premium cards.
