So just so I am sure I am understanding this correctly. Because I am seeing a ton of posts on this page. Starting JULY 1 we have 90 days to pick a new plan? Also, my recertification date in 9/2027 for my income. Is dead and i will have to recertify my income when I select a new plan? My servicer AIDVANTAGE has NOTHInG but that date in my legal documents… Once I select my new plan my payments will resume immediately after?
So if I pick the new plan 9/20/2026. My new payment will be due by the end of 10/2026?
So basically everyone on the save forbearance will be making there first payment in 10/2026?
Please and thank you in advance for the clarification. I am seeing A LOT of different things on this feed

July 1 is when servicers will start notifying people that they need to switch plans. You’ll have 90 days from when you’re notified. No one really knows how long notifications will take, but for planning purposes I’d assume you’ll be notified on July 1. I think it’s unlikely it would be any longer than 1-2 weeks after that anyway. By virtue of having to switch to a new plan, you’ll have to provide current income information. That means that your recertification date will effectively be reset. Yes, once you select a new plan your payments will begin again.
