Out of all the credit card systems I deal with, US Bank has the most antiquainted. I mean even BofA recently redid theirs. I have had autopay working with US Bank for literal years, and have it set up to autopay statement 7 days prior to the date. Apparently autopay decided to swap to an old checking account that's no longer open, despite using my regular account all the time.
US Bank emailed me a DAY before the due date, saying it was returned despite the return happening 3 days prior, and despite the date being the 8th marked it the 9th, when the due date is the 10th. No biggie, right? Well since the nezt business day is the 11th, a customer support rep said I'll be charged a late fee and it "should" be auto reversed. Even though the payment was initiated on the 9th, which was really the 8th. The support rep said there was no way to manually override. This is absolutely horrific support / experience, and as soon as the connect stops giving me free lounge access I'm gonna be done with US bank forever. I've never had a late payment ever and despite the fact it should be corrected, really annoying. Credit scores only take into account 30+ days late right? Like this wouldn't effect my credit score? If it does I'll make a CFPB complaint

You had seven days to verify your payment was processed correctly, but didn’t check? You still need to monitor auto-pay activity monthly. And no, this will not be reported as a 30+ late payment.
