I am a Verizon customer for Fios and Wireless. Is the card worth it? 4% on groceries, restaurants, and gas. And I think it also gives me 1% on my bill while maintaining the autopay discount for bank accounts.
Not a huge fan of Synchrony though…anyone have experience with the card?

I don’t have the card BUT I was interested too until I learned you don’t even get a discount or more than 1% cash back when using it to pay your Verizon bill 🤦🏼♂️ I’ll use my Venture X to pay for my bill and get 2x the miles AND cellphone protection
I have it and like how it has three major categories of our spending on one card. That’s a major convenience if you would like a more simplified set up. Synchrony hasn’t been bad and what’s nice is you can add to mobile wallet where a lot of other cards by Synchrony you can’t. I’d recommend to anyone wanting a decent multiplier for a simple setup.
I have the Verizon card and its become a staple in my wallet with all other card nerfs. Unlimited 4% on grocery and dining is elite. (I have a 5% gas card already). Also Walmart codes as grocery meaning it gets 4% as well.
I’ve been using this card for over 5 years and I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s nice to have one card that covers gas, groceries, and dining at 4%. As a bonus, Walmart also codes as 4% and I’ve also received a few elevated earning offers, 6% on up to $2k non-Verizon spending and $75 after $750 non-Verizon spending.
It’s an amazing card for Verizon users on team cash back . No issues at all with synchrony bank. You can Set it up for your Verizon Dollars to automatically deduct from your bill every month.
It was a great card and I highly recommend it if you plan to stay with Verizon. I got fed up with Verizon and left last month so I had to close mine and shift my groceries and restaurants to my two Custom Cashes for 5%.
Also if for no other reason, Verizon gives $10 discount per line with autopay, the only way to get auto pay with a credit card is with the Verizon card. Otherwise you need to set up ACH. The card only gives 1% back for your bill, but that’s on top of the $10 per line discount.
OP, I have the card with a 5 line Verizon household.
4% unlimited on gas, groceries, and gastronomy (as I call it so my disinterested player 2 remembers). Unlimited is key to me, as my household cannot deal with caps, rotators, etc. and we have high spend in these catagories.
Top of the wallet card. It codes like a monster (no issues with Walmart, costco, instacart, doordash, etc.). Also, I do not need to worry with those weird places, typically in Europe (is this a grocery store, gas station or restaurant as I scratch my head? Does not matter, it will code one way or the other at 4%).
Synchrony has been fine to work with and fraud protection has been pretty good. It has only hit once on a weird foreign software subscription I had (why I put it on this card I have no idea) but they called and texted and I called back to say all ok and it was seemless.
UI on the website sucks. I do not use apps. But this is a cash back card, don’t need much in the way of frills.
Good luck in your decision!
