The Citi AT&T card seems to have a gimmick where you get a $20 statement credit for spending $1,000 or more on purchases each billing cycle. With a 1x Citi ThankYou Rewards points earn rate on miscellaneous spend, you could also get a $10 statement credit for that $1,000 spend. $30 back for $1,000 spend every month is a 3% return. That would make this card the goofiest 3% catch-all on the market! Just gotta align those monthly expenses just right lmao
With no AF, no FTF, a $250 SUB for $500 spend in 3 months, and possibly even Citi’s 24 months extended warranty & $1,000 purchase protection policies (haven’t confirmed), it honestly might actually work for *someone* out there. As long as the spending on it is >$1,000 and <$2,000 each month, it theoretically outperforms any 2% card. But this is just a rather silly gimmick that I felt like pointing out after realizing it. Was building out my list of best shopping protection cards when I found it

To be honest, I didn’t even know this card existed 😀
Pretty decent with 3x on gas/charging and 2x on groceries. Would be extremely powerful with 3x on dining. If I had AT&T it might be worth it
I didn’t realize it gave a $20 statement credit.
I currently have an AA Platinum Select that I plan to PC on it’s anniversary. I was originally thinking I’d change it to a Strata Elite, but I’m not sure it can subsequently be PCed to a CCC.
I have a recurring charge of $1030, and I’m heavily invested in the Citi ecosystem for transfer to AA. This could be a good backup plan.
