Concussion Settlement

Hi everyone,

I’ve been navigating a drawn out claim from an auto accident. The accident occurred in Colorado. Work Comp has paid for the medical bills, but I need to settle with the insurance now for personal injury.

I was diagnosed with a concussion and a wrist sprain/contusion at the ER after the accident. My concussion symptoms lasted for 6+ months, I saw a neurologist twice in the after care, was provided pain medications, resulted in tinnitus, speech issues, irritability, etc. all documented with medical records.

The whole process has been a huge pain, but I’ve been able to navigate it without a lawyer. So now I’m going to USAA to settle, and I want an idea of what you all think is reasonable? They paid for the rental car being totaled already. The policy limit was $100K.
