So I was in a fast food drive thru let off the brakes while grabbing something from center console and hit car in front of me no damage to my car and very minor scuffs to her car I doubt it was from me I offered to pay myself but she insisted she wanted to go through my insurance. What are chances my rate will increase? Will she even be able to prove I made those marks? the marks match up with my plastic grill so I’d think the grill would’ve broke before scuffing the edge of her bumper. Also will this permanently affect me I’m 26 y/o male. I’m stressing bad over it.

    1. Unless you have some sort of accident forgiveness, your rate is likely to go up. Depending on the state and carrier, the at fault loss will factor for typically 3-5 years.

Expect your insurance to pay for the damages.

Your fault, so you can’t tell her how she can be made whole. You can offer but she has no obligation to accept. And unless you are contemplating lying to your insurer, she will collect from them.
