My wife and I are young marrieds and want to build our credit to be strong.

    Credit background:
My fico is 700-720; hers is 725-750.
We have a current mortgage, 1 credit card each, and a $14,000 car loan. I have the Chase Amazon card ($500) and she has the Chase Freedom Unlimited ($1000).

Only credit dings is from my early college when I defaulted on a credit card. Had the money and just didn’t make payments. Stupid stupid stupid me.

We are both teachers and make approx. $90,000 combined. (Yes we are sad about being poor lol)

We got a good deal on our current house but want to set ourselves up for an upgrade in 5-10 years. Additionally, we would like to maximize any perks if possible.
    What advice would you give?

Perks for what, exactly? Cashback? Travel? Restaurant coupons? Streaming credits? Lounge access? Lululemon? Gas multipliers? Walmart memberships?

Using the !template will help immensely if you want any real guidance.
