I've been using YNAB 4 for a a while now. They've gone to the web-based system for their latest version.
I'm trying their free trial for a bit and am not so far liking it.
Wondering what personal finance software is out there that's comparable to YNAB4. Basically, just looking for something to keep track of our spending, categorizing and able to run reports when it comes to tax time.
That and be able to suck transactions over from my bank.
Started to look at Monarch.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any reason you can’t (or don’t want to) keep using YNAB4?
I use Quicken Classic Premier for Windows and it meets my needs. You may consider Quicken Deluxe or even Quicken Simplifi.
If you decide to buy the Classic (desktop) version, make sure you buy from a third party retailer like BestBuy, Staples, Newegg etc. They have better deals than Quicken themselves.
I switched to DasBudget years ago and have been happy. I came from Simple before they closed down and needed to go elsewhere. I tried everything at the, including YNAB and thought DasBudget was the closest thing. It’s an envelope/bucket style, similar to YNAB, where every dollar has a job. When paycheck hits, it splits out every dollar to its assigned category and then as you spend, it deducts from whichever category. Pretty user friendly. Pretty simple, not a million bells and whistles. Links to all the accounts and banks I use. I’ve recently tried Monarch (hell no) and currently trying Origin (some good features but pretty shit for true budgeting. They are supposedly going to roll out actual forward looking budgeting features but now it’s mostly backwards categorization). DasBudget is still my winner for true budgeting. https://i.imgur.com/E9JSLys.png
It’s hilarious because YNAB went web literally 10 years ago.
Monarch is what my former YNAB-using friends migrated to. I use online YNAB. It sucks transactions over from bank.
But I really think SaaS is common, so good luck getting a software that you pay one time and also does auto-transaction updates — this was the main reason YNAB went web. It is much harder to do frequent updates if it wasn’t web based.
When you say you don’t like the new web version so far, is it more the interface that bothers you or the subscription pricing compared to what you were paying before?
is self hosting an option? I started using Actual and it works great
I’ve been using Monarch since Mint shut down, its been great for me.
