This is actual economics. Corporations should not be allowed to push their costs onto third parties (negative externality).
I like your knees data center things to cities paying for stadiums for professional sports. They always get the taxpayers to pay for it while they get to keep all the profit. The taxpayers are on the hook for everything to include whatever environmental costs and who knows whatever regulations they skirted.
