As heatwave sweeps across Europe, UN urges AI firms to ‘come clean’ on environmental footprint
UN chief Antonio Guterres called on June 23 for faster action on global warming, challenging AI firms to “come clean” about their environmental footprint and warning that fossil fuels were driving climate and energy crises. This comes as Europe bakes under a second heatwave in as many months. A UN study earlier in June found that the facilities consumed more electricity than all but 10 countries in 2025. FRANCE 24’s Philip Turle tells us more.

I get really annoyed when I hear the expression 'climate neutral'; all economies are based on perpetual growth on a planet with an ecosystem incapable of providing for it. Of course, there are fantasists who religiously promise that we will solve this with technology and who are already dreaming of colonizing Mars, while humanity is not even capable of sustaining this planet. Naturally, there are also still those who attribute it to the natural cycle of our position in the universe, even though it is 30 degrees from March to October. The orchestra on the Titanic also kept playing until the ship sank. No one should harbor any illusions about the outcome.
The best way to defeat Iran is to transition away from heavy oil dependence for energy production and transportation.

Laws of physics and thermodynamics rule no exceptions. Add 57 billion tons of heat trapping greenhouse gases to our globally shared atmosphere annually and the laws of physics and thermodynamics do their thing. French polymath genius Fourier knew this in 1822 and it's be experimentally tested many times since. In spite of this reality politicians after receiving money from the usual suspects seem to believe they have their own set of laws of physics and thermodynamics.

Wouldn't it be funny if AI didn't use massive amounts of electricity chip power but instead they are conning us and our building massive bitcoin Mines to get rich fast at our expense.
In the "Sun year" 1540 it didn't rain for months in Europe and rivers like the Rhine and Seine dried up completely. Livestock died and people suffered. But sure, everything that happens is always climate change 🙄

Smart people never listens to other people on what they need to do. They are afraid that ordinary people will have the same or more money than them.
They built bunkers for a reason . They know after creating such a mess economically, environmentally etc people will get desperate and aggressive and it'll be their heads everyone will go after.
