Here in Las Vegas gas prices still high, hovering around $4.80 p gallon. Before the war, i was paying $3.50 or less. So i don't know what this mthfker is talking about

What he really means is, big trouble for oil companies if they're gouging and not giving him a percentage.

President Trump is protecting the public interest. To lower inflation and the cost of living, the oil price has to be lowered.
The guy who created the largest oil supply shock in history warning the companies who are about to make money when the reserves hit zero making threats is pretty hilarious.
Then he gets a phone call, those profits are for the 2026 election campaign.

The right-wing nutters has come full circle and now supports a centrally planned economy. Even China isn't as communist as Trump.
Unless oil companies are coordinating their oil and gass prices which would be illegal under the antitrust act, there is nothing Trump can do. A company can charge what it wishes for its products.
Here in Washington state it is the state that is gouging to keep the price up forever!
If they're price gouging…less than 4% of our oil goes through the straight, the rest is either domestic or comes from somewhere in south America, central America or canada, and shouldn't have affected our prices by more than 5 to 10% at the most. They have definitely been gouging and heads need to roll. Nothing will probably happen though.
