I’m having trouble squaring the idea that he’s hawkish but the guy who chose him is determined to drop rates, no matter the risk. Trump only chooses cronies, no exceptions. My current read is that these statements are a head fake.

We are cooked. It’s more bluster and promises from people that don’t know what they are doing. To make such a statement makes me think no matter what the economy looks like he wants to lower rates.

If he wanted the appearance of professionalism and impartiality, he would have said plainly that Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election.
No one should take this shitstain seriously. No one should take anyone defending him seriously.
Until we expunge this alternate facts BS from all of our media, institutions, and daily life by the outright utter rejection of it, this clownshow will continue.
