Say you got into a parking lot accident where two parties back into each other with both vehicles moving. Damage is to the corner of the bumper on both cars, paint/surface level only, very minor on one car but more noticeable on the other (transfer of paint from one bumper to the other). Very likely 50/50 shared fault. Same insurance company and each person's deductible is $500.
Would it be ok to suggest "I'm willing to let this be if you are, but if you file a claim let me know and I'll do the same." What if this is after the fact, would you send a text and does this text contain any admission of guilt? Or just hope no one files?
Parking lot backup accident, 50/50 fault, ok to suggest afterwards not to file a claim?

I had my deductible eliminated once due to both parties having the same insurance company with full coverage. If it is just paint transfer, lacquer thinner will remove the scuff marks. Getting body work done could reduce the value if it shows up on a history report.
