My car was broken into and my paycheck with the stub attached was among the things taken. It had my name, date of birth, address, and the last four of my social on it. I have already asked my work to cancel the stolen check and issue a new one and frozen my credit on the three major agencies. Is there anything else I should take action on or anything else to be aware of?
My car was just broken into and my paycheck was stolen. Any additional advice?

Make sure to file a police report in the event your identify does somehow get stolen or the check gets cashed before it’s voided and it becomes and issue down the road. Are you able to look into direct deposit moving forward?
My advice is don’t keep your paycheck in your car.
File a police report.
If you’re in the US, go to identitytheft.gov and file a claim.
You should also create an account with USPS so you’ll be notified of any fraudulent change of address that’s been filed and you can track all incoming mail to make sure nothing is stolen.
If you’re state has it, create an account with the unemployment office so you’ll be notified if they try to file a fraudulent unemployment claim.
Open a bank account and set up direct deposit for all future paychecks.
ETA: get identity theft insurance. Fifth third bank will insure you pretty cheaply. I remember rhey charged me like $12/month a few years ago.
