I see from couple of subreddits that Amex and Schwab have the best customer service.
i would like to know everyone’s thoughts on which one might be the best ?
Or if there’s another contender as well

I worked for Schwab CS in Bank and Brokerage. They’re nice, but they’re not bending over backwards for you unless you find the right rep.
Personally, I hated the culture around worshipping Chuck and I would refund any fee that came my way. Refunded hundreds upon thousands in overdraft fees.
All financial institutions have their moments. I had a lousy branch experience yesterday with Chase, for example, who is often otherwise quite good to me.
Schwab is definitely better, but they do not issue credit cards. If this is about the Charles Schwab Investor Checking vs American Express Rewards Checking accounts, Schwab is far more mature for personal banking and is the one I’d pick between the two
idk about schwab, but i hate amex based on my interaction with them today … the reps sounded condescending
