I have 80/120 payments toward PSLF. I have never missed a payment. 2 months in a row now I have gotten notifications that I am past due/have missed a payment. So i panic, go online, and see the record reflecting that, no, i have paid everything i need to. Last time I chatted with an agent who looked everything over and saw that I hadn't missed a payment, and all was good. They said it was just an anomaly and not to worry. This month I have an agent who continues to claim that I missed a payment even though I didn't. I have the screen shot and the bank statements and even the statements on the dang account page showing that I paid everything I was told to, and the agent insists I didn't.

Now the agent claims that as long as I pay today, the full amount, it won't matter that according to them I missed a payment; it will still count toward PSLF. I don't trust it and am worried. They also can't give me any information as to how to avoid this in the future.

Has anyone dealt with similar? Is this just a glitch we're in right now? Is the system trying to screw us so we lose our PSLF? Or is it just random?

Is your payment due date falling on weekends? I ask because ACH payments only run on business days *and* take 2-3 business days to process, so I’m wondering if your auto debit is in the midst of being processed when these notifications are going out
