I currently have ~360k Ultimate Rewards points spread across my Freedom Unlimited, Sapphire Preferred, and Sapphire Reserve.
I probably won’t be traveling internationally for the next 1–2 years, but I do a decent amount of domestic travel within the US.
I’ve heard about the Chase redemption changes and the grandfathered points expiring in October 2027. Given my situation, what would be the best strategy to maximize the value of these points?
Should I transfer any to airline/hotel partners now, use them for domestic travel through Chase, or just keep holding them until I actually have a trip planned?
Would appreciate advice from anyone more experienced with UR points.
Best way to use 360k Chase UR points before 2027 changes?

What are the changes? I don’t have it but I considered getting a CFU at some point. Are the changes bad?
What’s wrong with using them for your upcoming domestic travel? If you did that, what estimated amount do you think you’d still have left over come October 2027?
I wouldn’t transfer speculatively just because of future Chase Travel change. Partner transfers are usually best when you already have a SPECIFIC booking in mind. For domestic travel, use the grandfathered CSR 1.5 cpp Chase Travel value when cash prices are reasonable and save transfers for Hyatt (albeit recently devalued) or occasional United/Aeroplan/Southwest-type redemptions at >1.5 cpp. I do freelance point.me concierge work and with 360k UR, I’d probably use some older CSR points through normal domestic travel by Oct 2027 but keep a balance to remain flexible rather than converting them speculatively into one airline now.
Don’t use them in the portal in the first place, transfer them to partners
