"Hi everyone, we'll be traveling from New Zealand to Hong Kong, then on to Tokyo. My wife and I both have US Amex Platinum cards, and we're traveling with our child, under 3. I know the official Amex guest policy and fee, but I'm curious about recent real-world experiences at the Hong Kong and Tokyo Haneda Centurion Lounges. Were you actually charged for a child aged2 to 3, or let in for free? Any recent data points from either location would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    1. Children are free under 2, after that there’s a $30 child guest fee for ages 2-17. I think this is mostly a carry over from the airlines themselves, because by birth date 2+ can no longer be a lap infant and needs a ticketed seat.

Ok so… Two options. 1) Just pay the $30 OR 2) Just put him in the stroller with the hood down, roll up to the lounge and when they ask for tickets just hand them without the kid and see what happens.
