This is good in the short term for high oil prices and at the pumps. In the long run if enough production doesn't comes on to replenish to huge draw from the Strategic Supply it could backfire big time. Knowing that the Strategic supply has been drawn out and there isn't much in Reserve for a rainy day could cause the oil market to react very adversely. So it is a very risky plan, to have this amount removed from The Strategic Reserve could be very risky.

Disingenuous at best, Bidens Poll numbers are shrinking daily claims it's Putin's fault for gas prices, when that didn't work he blamed big oil. One of the main reasons big oil isn't drilling more oil is because they have no way of delivering it , it would be like trying to pour a 2 litre bottle into a dixie cup.

Question? When we release oil from our vast reserves, who gets that oil ? Do the Oil Companies , Exxon/Mobile etc. , get the oil to sell to enhance their already bloated profits, do they pay our Gov't for this oil ? Many questions not asked.
It wouldn't matter if this president or any of the others released every drop of oil in the reserve, it wouldn't make any difference. America would gobble it up as fast as we could and cry for more. Oil companies have already said that they will not increase production and will not drill addition wells. They have said that they have a duty to stockholders to deliver profits and that is what they are going to do. Money is king and Capitalism provides no motivation for oil companies to do anything to reduce the price of gas and they are not going to. They will ride the wave of increased gas prices all the way to the bank.
