    1. Enforcement matters little. What sensible person wants to commit a criminal act when doing their finances. It could mean total ruin for them. It would not be considered a civil offence like speeding as some suggest.

    2. EU: It’s about taxation and transparency. Any crypto on and off-ramps will have to comply if they want to operate in the EU. If you have crypto gains…you are now legally required to report it. Even if they don’t actively police this, if, some time in the future you are found with loads of money and an audit shows that you’ve cashed in crypto in the Cayman Islands, you are on the wrong side of EU law if you didn’t report it.

    3. Wait, Ukraine denies that they launched the raid and claim it was a Russian false flag.

But pictures of the markings on the Hinds identify them as Ukrainian ?

Assuming both sides are telling the truth, it suggests Ukraine has lost control of some if it's forces. Thats very possible because that has occurred before the war with certain units in the UKA refusing to obey Zelenskys orders.

    4. So the west is emptying their reserves. The assumption then is they think this all (Ukraine war and sanctions) blows over a year from now ? What if it does not ?

    5. President Biden releasing oil from the strategic reserve to lowest levels in 20 years when Russia is invading and China is salivating while looking at Tawain. And doing it conveniently until the mid-term elections. But I am sure it’s to help us.

    6. Europe’s government and ours will within the next year or two implement a digital ID system just to log onto the internet in order to keep track of and tax all future crypto transactions. Then they can kick you off the internet effectively cutting you off from your crypto wallet anytime they want whenever they feel like it with zero due process. We seriously need a new updated bill of rights that protects your right to unrestricted internet access, never be cancelled off social media and also strips the government’s power to forcefully lock down your business ever again period no exceptions. Think for yourself, question authority.

    7. Crypto transactions being peer to peer is the only thing that the authorities will never be able to control/regulate. Thats what crypto is supposed to be but when you look at it most crypto is "hodled" till it reachs a desirable fiat value for a person to sell for. Most crypto isnt used like its supposed to be. Governments could destroy crypto pretty easy if they outlaw exchanges, outlaw any institution's involvement in crypto, outlaw the sale of crypto to fiat. If they do that then it wont be profitable to even bother with it because its not money at the end of the day its a digital asset that would become worthless in the blink of an eye. I honestly hate the direction crypto has moved and especially bitcoin

    8. Hello Max, good show.

Energy is the main driver of the war it seems.

Please consider doing a show on lithium for electric vehicles, Ukraine is the biggest provider.

I heard it suggested that Europe and maybe the US is trying to get electric vehicles to get out of oil dependence on Arab countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran, I think it was.

Anyway, my mum is in Wales, I am worried power will go out there.

Britain uses 3 or 7% Russian oil supply depending on which source is right, but if Europe has to replace Russian oil (if Putin cuts them off for not paying in Ruples), then Britain might be competibg for supplies with Europe.

Anyway, have you ideas on how likely power cuts are for home?

      Cheers

    9. The EU does not need to enforce the rule. The real consequence will be that money launderers and speculators shiny tulips will be illegal. Crypto is constructed in such a way where tracing it is not possible, hence it will be illegal to trade and probably even own. It is not the governments responsibility to figure out how to regulate you, it is your responsibility to follow regulations.

    10. Max, I find it interesting that the reporting on the 737 crash in China, the reporter mentioned the Depression in China's economy as being the possible factor behind the crash. Does make sense if the pilot or co-pilot or even the 'training pilot" lost everything in the Real Estate crash!

    11. excellent at least maybe property price goo down. now only rich people and banks rich. low class and middle class people make them richer. hopefully change ewrithigs.

    12. The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then the poor stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich

    13. Do you actually have proof that Ukraine bombed Russian Belgorod? It's just what Russian media said, and Ukrainian officials don't confirm it, some assume another version like human factor. Though It would be quite hard for helicopters to reach there and from there unharmed, so this may be even Russian provocation. I would be happy if our military was capable of such complicated helicopter operations though. So you should have written at least "as Ukraine bombs Russia, according to Russian officials".

    14. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has neither confirmed nor denied the attack. Russia has hit fuel storage facilities around Ukraine in recent days.

"I would like to emphasize that Ukraine is performing a defensive operation against Russian aggression on the territory of Ukraine," Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, spokesman for Ukraine's defense ministry, said in a televised statement Friday.

"That doesn't mean Ukraine has to be responsible for every miscalculation or event or catastrophe that occurred on the territory of the Russian Federation. This is not the first time we are witnessing such accusations. Therefore, I will neither confirm nor deny this information."

CNN geolocated and verified social media videos showing two helicopters flying over the Russian city of Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border, but cannot confirm the helicopters are Ukrainian.

    15. Biden to release 180 million barrels of oil from the country's strategic petroleum reserve over the next six months,. This is only a drop in the bucket as the world currently consumes 100 million barrels per day!
