The war in Ukraine is squeezing Russian gas supplies to Europe.

European Union countries want to reduce their dependence on Moscow and are pulling out all the stops to find alternative supplies. Africa has a wealth of natural gas reserves and could fill the gap.

Many European countries are exploring whether the continent could be part of the energy solution they desperately need. Meanwhile, many African countries are eyeing the opportunity and have expressed an interest in increasing supplies to Europe.

And, as the EU moves to curb Big Tech dominance, will a new law loosen their grip on the market?

    1. Even if they couldโ€ฆthey shouldnโ€™t help Europe. They will just take over your resources like they did with Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Libya . Africa will not benefit like UAE unless African countries supply each-other first.

    2. 13:15 yes lets make ukraine land of farmers. who needs pesky scientists just keep them all farmers and let them export cheap stuff… seems murica already left another ally. i think she doesnt realize she said too much already

    3. Africa has been doing business with the west but the business is one sided only West benefit from it. Africa should rethink doing business with the west.. I think China, Russia, India and the Arabic countries Wil be reliable partner for Africa not Europe or America

    4. This is really not an african "nations" do but what "states" do. African states have been profiting, people not so much. This issue basically tells us 2030 and 2050 emission/decarb goals won't be met. It'll take 20-30 years to get these projects going .

    5. Nigeria and the rest of gas producers in Africa needs to have a discurssion with Europe on how African can use what it owns and (currently being wasted) to get what it want, while europe get everything it needs. Let europe brings it's gas guzzler industries to Nigeria and export the finished or semi-finished goods back to Europe and the rest of the world. Africa gives incentives like free gass for the first decades. Europe brings the industry and infrastructure permanently. Problems solved, poverty reduced or eliminated in Africa, tecnology transfer achieved for Africa. Europe will get it's well needed energy security. This to me is quicker to achieve and a win win situation.

    6. I see, Africa's revenge on colonial abuses, how mad is Europe willing help from Africa with their dark history an still not given up or feel sorry for the least

    7. They need to leave Africa alone, all these wars that they instigated on the continent for ressource Africa should say no thanks.

    8. 2003 how many millions civilians demonstrated around world most major city telling them donโ€™t invade iraq and afghanistan. Did they listen, no no because they want destroyed and steal their resources and they call
terrorist, and their media and politicians created anti islam propaganda around world , and telling us they are peace keepers and arming israel apartheid for 70 years, where is the justice, where is the humanity? They donโ€™t care about Ukraine and their prople they created this war ,

    9. The great era of African leadership has passed us…Menelik 1 & 2, Haile Selassie I, Nkrumah and such, back in the early to mid 20th century

      Capitalist leaders we see now

    10. MATTHEW 6:24KJV – โ€œNo man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.โ€

    11. Nato or in general western countries are the biggest threat to civilization!
The best way to protect human civilization and humanity from the western racist world is the way of North Korea.

    12. 15:37 "We had Keystone pipeline", is it a joke? That pipeline was being build, not a single cubic meter ever went through it. You do not lose your energy independence for suspending a planned investment. The US did not and does not have energy independence. That's a Trump campaign slogan, it was never true.

    13. Africa should have a sit in the general assembly and she just insulted some of africa leaders she is also little minded dumb she is! Africa should stand with Russia ,wish all the best for

    14. Western countriesโ€™ unresolved terrible history in Africa has plagued Western governments and their societies with a superiority complex disease that blokes them whenever they try to do business with African countries. Their shame instantly puts them in a defensive mode. Their quilt is gnawing on their souls which is visible to every black person they talk to.๐Ÿ˜’
