The administrations additional response?
– Pass the Russia Sanctions bill that will THROTTLE another large source of oil to countries like China and India which will – without the Russian alternative – have to aggressively vie for the already squeezed wrecked existing market thus guaranteeing an order of magnitude rise in Demand for a diminishing supply. Targetting the oil of SAME nation they berated Ukraine of destroying just DAYS earlier
How thousands of people in a first world administration not see this is a gigantic calamity in the making on top of the one they have already created? That they're countering their own statements within days of the previous one with potentially devastating cosnequences?

The US government are deflecting blame and in the process trying to turn other countries against each other.
Wont work.
Always remember that people with power will always shrug and simply walk away when things go to shit. Doesn’t matter what promises they made, doesn’t matter that they caused the problem, doesn’t matter if innocent people died… they will always just shrug and walk away.
In the end, the US will shrug and walk away, let a few years pass, and then pretend like none of it ever happened.
