I’m 20, active duty Marine, and I’m trying to get more disciplined with my money since I’ve honestly been a dumbass with it for the last 3 years. I have around 15k in my tsp and 7k in my bank account currently. I’ve been in a constant loop of being anywhere from 7k-12k in my bank account. I also plan on re-enlisting. I’m also about to shell out on a used car for work so my savings will be dropping temporarily. I’ve been taking 500-600 bucks a paycheck and throwing it into my savings. Also cut on trips, random spending, and eating out as well. What else can I do better with financially? Are there side hustles that are possible to do while active duty as well?

already miles ahead of my junior Marines. every installation has financial advisors for us, they’re usually at the education center. set up a meeting with them, figure out your goals/what you want to do with your money and they will point you in the right direction.
You’re doing better than others man
