    Nelnet 30 day extension

    Even though I already selected a new plan, and it’s processing. Just wanted to post the email here as I’m sure everyone will panic. But reps said that due to so many processing it’s just taking awhile.

    We previously notified you that you had 90 days to select a new repayment plan; otherwise, you would be placed into another plan. You did not take action within that 90-day period.
     

    This is your FINAL NOTICE. If you do not take immediate action to select a repayment plan, we will place you into a repayment plan in 30 days.

      I originally had until 11/25 to select a new plan. Now my Nelnet portal states 12/25. This entire administration and its servicers are all messed up. Is it 90 days or not? I feel like with midterms approaching, they are attempting to give borrowers a tiny bit of wiggle room in hopes it’ll help them out.

      Yeah I just the notice too. So do I select a new plan? Do I stay on SAVE? I can’t afford to make payments

      Does the 30 day extension apply to Mohela as well? Haven’t received any email or a inbox notice since I received my 90 day notice to select a new payment plan on 07/29.

      My notice got changed from end of September to the 22nd of Jan 2027. It feels like they’re playing chicken with a lot of people.

      Thanks for this – this email sent me into a panic as I already selected a plan. The wording made it sound like I was delinquent on the deadline.
