Hey TMI – in the US full time is normally a minimum of around 30-32 hours a week. The problem we have is that companies find ways to classify their workers as contractors and not employees. So they don't have to provide benefits regardless of how many hours the contractor works. Some industries also don't count all hours as payable 🙁

Just to educate you a bit, full time in nearly every state is 32 hours or more. So they're actually getting screwed worse than I thought because they're not getting 39 hours. They're getting 31 or less. A full work day of pay less than you stated. It's saddening.
