Episode 16 : Bitcoin Logo (History, Design & Secret Meaning) | Explained in Hindi

WHO DESIGNED THE BITCOIN LOGO? NOBODY KNOWS. The orange circle with the tilted B is the most recognised financial symbol on earth, and the person who created it is still anonymous. He uploaded it to a forum, wrote that anyone could do whatever they wanted with it, and disappeared. Exactly like Satoshi.

Nike paid a design student 35 dollars for the swoosh in 1971. Pepsi spent a million dollars redesigning its logo in 2008. The Bitcoin logo cost nothing.

In this video, we tell the full story of how that symbol came to exist. The two earlier logos Satoshi made himself, the forum argument over whether one of them looked too much like the Thai Baht, and the night in November 2010 when a user called bitboy posted the orange circle we all know today, gave away the editable files for free, and vanished without ever asking for credit.

We also decode the design element by element. Why orange and not gold or blue, why the B is tilted exactly 13.88 degrees, why those two lines do not cut through the letter, and why the whole thing still works at the smallest icon size on your phone.

Then the part nobody explains. Who actually approved this logo as official? Nobody did. It became official the same way the longest chain becomes the truth in Bitcoin, through adoption. Until June 2017, when Unicode gave the Bitcoin symbol a permanent place on every keyboard in the world, sitting right next to the dollar, the euro and our own rupee symbol. And there is a strange Indian parallel here, because the rupee symbol was born in the exact same year through a nationwide government competition, a jury and a cabinet approval. One came from authority. The other came from consensus.

And finally the question most people never ask. Can you legally put this logo on your t-shirt, your shop board or your thumbnail and sell it? The answer might surprise you.
