    2. One way that EV's could work will be an ability to connect to a stationary power supply while in motion. Then the storage capacity of the batteries could be reduced, maybe to the point where a bank of traditional lead-acid batteries could be used to cover the dead-spots.
I think our transportation model based on everyone having their own vehicle may be needing a major revision in thinking.
The most energy efficient means to move people and cargo is with the use of electrified rail. That I believe to be the future.
I was borne at the start of the age of automotive dominance, 1949. I may live to see that age end.

    3. Our Tesla Model 3 has been the best auto purchase we’ve ever made. Last September, we sold our $7,000 10 year old 328i for the ridiculously inflated price of $12,000 and picked up our $48,000 blue dual motor. The Tesla price has gone up $5,500 since then!!! I knew it was going to increase. We pay about 10 to charge it once a week for my wife’s 7 mile commute each day and we absolutely love the way it drives. My Z06 Corvette is just sitting, collecting dust because I prefer the Tesla. We couldn’t be happier with it. Go out and drive one!!!

    4. Seems to me that hybrids are a more rational compromise, but I’m no mechanic. But having said that they are more expensive then a regular gas driven vehicle.BTW-the cost of fuel is caused by stock market manipulation, not lack of oil.America only got 3% of there oil from Russia.

    5. Excellent presentation Scotty. I’m an accountant and I could never financially justify buying an EV. Actually, I’m just a cheapskate and plan to drive my 2005 Matrix, which still runs like new, for many more years.

    6. There's a other things to consider in a gas vehicle, no oil changes which pollutes , no antifreeze, no gas, way less maintenance, belts, plugs, sensors, ect…. It would be impossible to make a car with no side effects to the environment, your air would be cleaner in a town full of EV's it can be a tough trade off

    7. Please listen to scotty about gasoline cars only and do your own ev research please . Don't get fooled about this videos who really are just haters and can't accept something new and better

    8. When petrol powered cars first came out, they were rich men’s toys. This is where EV automobiles are at the present time.

    9. The people that own EVs don't care as much about rising gas prices because it doesn't apply to their car, although it does apply to them in rising prices everywhere else. Let's look at the other advantages of EVS. Eventually somebody is going to build a device that will charge the battery of the EV while it's driving down the road, via solar power or perhaps a mini wind turbine operated by a forced air turbo system, and then that's going to eliminate the need to stop and charge your car for an hour or two. You won't have to stop to get gas, you won't have to worry about somebody stealing your credit card information for swiping it at the pump, I think people will be just happy with these and OPEC will get what their greedy azzes deserve.

    10. EV affecting gas prices? I think EVs will affect electricity prices far more, it will put a strain on the existing aging electric grid which will cause electric prices to soar. I mean how great it must be for the end consumer to pay more to fill their EV… Even people that don't own an EV will see an increase in their electric bill when the national average per KwH reaches 30-50 cents because of the high demand.

    11. This is why I opted for a hybrid Corolla instead of an electric car. The Toyota is going to last for decades and is a proven, reliable, efficient operation. My dad bought a Prius in 2002 and it's still running 20 years and 200,000 miles later.

    12. It’s very simple. If you want cheap gas prices , just vote for a conservative president, senators and congressmen. They will do what should be done. Use our own abundant natural resources for the next 100 yrs while technology can come up with a viable inexpensive alternative to gas and diesel.

    13. The infrastructure for these cars is limited. The charging time is ridiculous. They have a bad environmental impact and don't cost any less.

    14. I used to own Camry, corrola , Mitsubishi evo, subaru legacy, Saturn ion redline, gmc Yukon, Mitsubishi eclipse multiple, Toyota supra, Nissan ser spec v, Ford mustang, kia optima turbo. And rented numerous cars and the best by a long shot and most reliable and the least cost vehicle I ever own is my current tesla

    15. Scotty,
What about hybrids??? Please do a comparison. I bought a 2020 camry hybrid. Love it but id like yo see where the break even point is on theses cars compared to similar ice one. 😊 Thx
