EU unveils $220-billion plan to sidestep Russian gas
The European Union Commission announced a €210 billion plan ($221 billion) to boost the bloc’s target for renewable energy from 40% to 45% by 2030, as part of efforts to move away from Russian hydrocarbons. CNN’s Anna Stewart reports. #CNN #News
These high gas, electric and car fuel prices are making me ultra careful in my usage. To save money, I have easily halved my consumption. It is simple if you put your mind to it. If we all did it, the reserves will last us longer; it will be greener too.
All these talks and plans will be thrown out the window once russia conquers Ukraine, or gets some of the territory. It will become stale conflict and everything will go back to normal.
This will be a waste of time and money. There are too many cooks in the kitchen for it to work. Every one has different recipes to make the same dish. Germany wants to be the leader and France wants to be the leader. Who will it be? My money is that France will stop funding the project if they don’t get their ways and everything will go “poof”.
Ukraine will be happy in 2030 because Europe will no longer fund the Russian government and military spending. Way to go Europe pat yourself on the back.
And of course because of Brexit dear old Britain will be languishing in ythe badement of history. The UK loiving in the past and doing its best to stay there. Well done the EU.

With 1.4 vehicles in the world there is no such a thing as "clean" energy.
If Europe do not burn Russia's gas and oil some other countries will. EU fell in a trap.
