Electrum Bitcoin Wallet – Versatile and Feature Rich

Today I take a look at Electrum – a fully featured desktop Bitcoin wallet for those that want to get the most flexibility and customization out of their transactions. I walk through initial setup, basic transactions, and some of the features enabled here that are harder to come by in many other wallets.

Electrum is available on both desktop and mobile, but I will be focusing on desktop for this episode. In-depth hardware wallet usage will also be covered in other videos with the respective devices.

  1. i havent found it yet but I have read that you need to verify your electrum account or maybe a coinbase account for example, and I hear that takes days, does this sound familiar?

  2. Its a good tutorial, thanks!
However I would like to see how to buy bitcoin for fiat and how to sell it for fiat.
I need to know the whole process how to connect a bank account to Electrum wallet and how to exchenge bitcoin for dollar and vice-versa…

  3. Hello, much appreciated for the explanation. Unfortunately, I have supplemented my "default wallet" with some money, is there any way I can get it to my other wallet?

  4. Hi im facing a problem with sending bitcoin from electrum to my payeer account – I had sent the bitcoin but the transaction still shows unconfirmed?? please suggest

  5. anything else i can do for you for this “great" video content besides like, subscribe, and notiffications? how about paying you direclty insted of the youtube?! or maybe write you an ode and build a monumnet for you? or buy your dumb merchandise? how else can i support your blogging lifestyle?

  6. Recently I had to move Electrum to a new computer using the seed etc. etc.
Everything went well except that I forgot to give the wallet a sensible name so now it's called Wallet_1.
Can I change that to something else? I, at least, cannot see how to do it.
    Thanks for any help.

  7. I acquired my Electrum wallet in 2017. This is the ols 2.7.18 version. I used it a couple times and don't remember giving it a name, or needing a name. As of today I see a balance of bitcoin and I wanted to make a transfer to my NanoX but am presently having an issue with network connectivity. I have a red button on the bottom right of the console, and no matter what setting I use or what network I choose, I cannot get a green button. I wondered if my issues are related to an outdated Electrum program? Could I need a newer operating system for Windows?

  8. Solid video, but the intro and outro where you're filming yourself walking was not thought out in my opinion. It's loud af and pretty obnoxious, especially the end when the wind and other outside noises start up again after 15 minutes of "normal" sounding audio. I almost left during the intro, so may want to consider this in other videos. Cheers.

  9. Hello! Hodleing nube here. Is Electrum the best way to transact Bitcoin from a pre fork Bip38 paper wallet to a Trezor T? Do you have any videos, or information on that?

  10. I remember on the old wallets, they had just one receive address. I want to set up an automated deposit to a wallet and I need a public address for the wallet that will not change over time. I see quite a few addresses in the new wallet, some of which say "change". I'm assuming these are the ones used when I click on the receive tab and are created using the "New Address" button, which then is set to expire in 1 day. I don't want this. Where do I find the permanent public address that will not change and will work forever with this newly generated wallet?

  11. Excellent Review. Keep it up. Electrum wallet is very important. You may need it to recover any funds and it a wallet that works perfectly…

  12. Can the electrum app be saved to a usb thumbdrive, with its associated files, like wallets, to create a cheapskate plugin hardware device?

  13. большое уважение за то, сколько позитива вы излучаете
при выполнении ваших заданий, я желаю вам всего наилучшего
приятель! Вы заслуживаете этого от всех…
