    Record-high gas prices affect summer travel



    High gas prices are turning into a major speed bump as the summer travel season kicks into high gear. The national average for regular gas is nearing $5 per gallon. Kris Van Cleave has more on why gas prices are increasing.

      It won’t affect me at all. Only misinformed fools would rely on fossil fuels when years of inflated prices perpetrated by oil companies had already foretold what would eventually happen.

      I have it understood that it's pretty much a ploy to force us to go green. Biden and his policies are sabotaging the economy on purpose to drive us in that direction. Unless you're rich enough to buy a Tesla outright, the math doesn't make any sense. Who in their right minds would buy a 80 thousand dollar car and pay on it for 5+ years to save on the cost of a gallon of gas? Biden and his cronies are out in 2024. Locked in. Signed sealed and delivered. This will happen. With 2 years left, a 5 + year loan at 600 bucks a month is insanity if you think you're gonna save money going this route. Face it, most of us are stuck till this thing blows over. Our backs are to the wall and were forced to pay it. In times like these, it would be nice if we got tax write-offs for work related fuel expenses though. Might be a good idea worth writing our elected leaders for after all the democratic incumbents are voted out of office this November.

      Enjoy high gas price….if you wanna blame …blame Democrat party….they want energy transition..but they lack investment in both energy…. renewal energy already dominate by china in mining and supply chain…America wind turbine or solar panel have to import from china and more than 70 % litium processing industrial dominate by china it's means that's if you buy more EV you make china more rich…that's stupidity adding by decrease in oil investment…and now…they reap what they sow

      Can’t we just accept the fact that Russia will eventually take over Ukraine , they can’t sustain this war with out our help and they’re not even a nato country……so what’s in it for us at the end ,this is what people need to ask themselves

      To those who are stealing, robbing, or demanding government handouts… work! I'm 18 and worked my way up to Starbucks manager making $19.15 in N. Dakota, but some gets deducted because of Social Security which is unfair, and I'm hoping to one day take over Starbucks HQ and pay a minimum wage of $25 to all of the baristas because I was one too but it likely won't happen until I'm in my 50s. You don't see me breaking store windows in broad daylight to steal jewelry, assaulting and robbing the innocent, or demanding free money.

      Living in northern New York after seeing gas hit $4.93 a gallon I was happy Monday seeing it drop to $4.73 however by Friday it was already $4.89 in most places, I suppose it could be worse, at least we have a president who doesn't post mean tweets anymore.

      Thanks joe, now that gas has hit $5 a gallon where I live we no longer buy anything except the bare essentials, at my house we only travel to and from work only, we don’t travel anywhere else, we order offline if we need anything primarily because it is cheaper than in stores, I’m a blue collar worker that lives in Maryland which is already the 7th most expensive state to live in, now we have $5 a gallon gas to add to it
      Buying electric vehicles is not an option for me as new vehicles are not affordable anyway, Something has to give we fuel prices or we’re going to go right back to a recession

      Wonk woah i fell so bad for the ppl that cant take there vacation……poor baby look suck it up butter cup ant no 1 forceing u to have a car……n the ppl complaining are usually people with oversized vehicles gas guzzlers as we call them u dont need a v8 engine to get to work n back or a v6 a 4cyl will do u just fine and ur not wasting all ur " paycheck"
