Canada’s mining industry is undergoing a digital transformation through the introduction of innovative technologies that are improving Canadian mines. Mordor Intelligence projects smart mining operations to triple by 2025, with 25% of mines having deployed autonomous tech by then.
The CENGN Smart Mining Program allows companies to test their new and innovative IoT-based smart mining product solutions that work to make Ontario mines safer and more efficient. It provides access to our Next Generation Network wireless infrastructure, as well as the CENGN Smart Mining Living Lab, a real smart mining testbed located at the NORCAT Underground Centre, near Sudbury, Ontario.
