The idea for a potential departure from Ethereum came after the initial ApeCoin drop. As demand for the token skyrocketed, gas fees on Ethereum soared for it’s metaverse “Otherside” Land NFT drop, rendering the number two crypto network prohibitively expensive for many users. Among possible solutions arose Avalanche (AVAX) and Immutable-X (IMX). But so far, it seems the voting has been heavily one-sided, with nearly 91% of the ApeCoin holders supporting the proposal. Just 9% of holders have voted against the proposal, supporting a migration. The vote will end by June 9, 2022.

    1. Makes me think that if Solana can get their act togethor and stop acting like chill surfer dudes, that it will become the NFT marketplace of the future for big companirs

    2. Put it on the Cardano blockchain. Most secure. Predictive low transaction fees. Probably secure proof of stake protocol. And about to scale massively with the Vasil Hard Fork. Oh. And Cardano created the ERC converter. No brainer.

    3. I've been watching APE, thanks for the wisdom. I would love to see some videos featuring WAX and the Uplift Minecraft metaverse and more on cardano and polygon.

    4. Cardano on chain activity has been AMAZING lately
Its number 1 right now above bitcoin and eth

Been tracking it the last week
Bitcoin was number 1 followed by cardano then eth and today cardano on chain activity is number 1

    5. Illuvium land was sold out, every piece that was made available bought before it expired. So as far as the "not much demand" argument, simply not true! Also the Illuvium team got smart about it, they spread out the land the sale of 20,000 plots over 3 days to avoid gas wars.

That said, the verdict is still out whether IMX can handle multiple giant IPs on its network.

    6. transaction/gas fee, is out of context in case of buying LAND …since the LAND price baseline very high compare to even the highest gas fee ever…except if the LANDs are very cheap he3, NOT a bonafide image of a metaverse offering cheap LANDs…hmm

    7. 8:24 You need to correct this. I participated during the Illuvium land sale and kept myself updated during the 72 hour period. I can guarantee you that the cheapest price of T2 land during the sale was more than 1 ETH, and the cheapest price of T1 land was more than 0.3 ETH. If you had just refreshed your screen during this period, you would have noticed that all the lands that you displayed were already sold out at least 5 minutes ago (I did the math). Regarding the gas fees, I only paid 0.04 ETH for 12 transactions; that is 100x better than BAYCs. Illuvium labs made a good job regarding this matter.

    8. ImmutableX will handle ApeCoin. 3 years after sharding will be implemented on ETH taking care of any tps issues. CBDC's copied Ethereum's technology.
