    U.S. gas prices continue to soar as the national average reaches a new high



    The national average for a gallon of gas in the U.S. is inching closer to $5. Analysts are unsure if or when prices could go down. CBS News correspondent Carter Evans joins “CBS News Mornings” with the latest from California, which has the most expensive gas in the nation.

      public security situation is worst in declining everyday of New York City ,it is the first concerning of life hood for who living or traveling in New York City, but peoples who lives in New York City with voting rights who have to clear out whom should to be responsibility for that,does either mayor or prosecutor? the prosecutor have such power for release in after catches it cause policeman working hard for nothing and lost confidence ,even mayor do more budget to providing more policemen is can’t do better about to the situation.

      With a 28 mile commute each way and 25 mpg, I used to spend 140 dollars a month. Now, it's looking like 500 a month pretty soon. No, I can't carpool.
      But it's worth it, no more mean tweets and this way I'm forced to get an electric car I can't afford.
      Thanks Dems! Gretta Toonberg would be proud!

      Maybe people should start wondering why we’ve gotten so much of our oil from Russia. Russia is a communist country clearly we’ve been getting oil there for years. Now that Russia invaded the Ukraine we are starting to see our dependency on a communist country for oil It doesn’t seem like anyone was concerned about that a few years ago. It’s always about what can everyone do for me.

      Take a peek at the profit the oil companies are making in the situation. This is price gouging to the extreme. Stop blaming the government and open your eyes to how private businesses are making huge profits off of us.

      Thank you darren woods and the rest. Oil is not at a record high the record high for oil was in 2008 a barrel of oil was 147 dollars a barrel gas was 3.81 a gallon. Ok now let's look at the price of oil today was 121 dollars a barrel still about 30 cheeper a barrel then I'll n 2008 when gas was only 3.81 a gallon the average price for a barrel of oil this year has been 99 dollars a barrel according to google these gas ceos blame biden and the russian war when they are the ones becoming filthy rich oh and according to google oil is cheeper just like everything else when you buy in bulk……

      a trump supporter (I could tell by his maga hat) was at a gas station next to me. He said he needed some help with gas to get home. So…. I said I would help him. Even though he supports a tyrant. I need to support my fellow american in tough times. So I told him to get in the front seat and pop the gas door and I would fill her up. He hopped in and popped the door. I proceeded take the gas cap off, and then unzip my pants, stick my unit in the hole and relieve myself. I really had to go so I think I gave him at least 3 gallons.
