    On average, recessions last 11 months, according to Lindsey Bell, chief markets and money strategist for Ally. The shortest recession on record is the 2020 pandemic-induced recession, which lasted just three months.

    Is Crypto Winter Here, And How Long Will It Last?
    possibly within the next couple of months, we could then begin to see some of that purchasing power becoming stable or even improving. At that stage, we could see retail investors coming back into the crypto market and supporting the price of bitcoin.

    From a technical price perspective, both the weekly and daily time frames show that prices are way oversold as per the Relative Strength Index (RSI). This could bring in some bargain hunters, but overall price action suggests that we may see bitcoin dip below the $20K support level. This is due to the lack of bullish momentum behind its price, meaning we may even see a new consolidation area forming between the $20K and $15K price range if sentiment doesn’t improve. Bitcoin could stay in this range for a few more months with further downside risk as a result.

    Crypto winters aren’t anything new; so far, we have seen nearly eight crypto winters, and each one of them has had unique features and some similarities. But when they end, we see bitcoin reaching new highs afterwards. While past performance is not indicative of future results, there’s a good chance that we could experience the same outcome when this winter finally ends.

      Hi Rev. It was a uneventful day in stocks today. Crypto is way down under. Yes it will recover 18 months from now man that's a long time. I'll stick with stocks. On average year to date in only down -11.8% The Dow is down -18.3%, nasdaq -31.8%, S&P -23.54%. I pick my own companies for my store. Even if at the risk of tooting my own horn I feel confident we will recover by September in a radical market. If you can't afford to play this game of risk for years plz stay out I don't want to make gains on your suffering.😔

      I recommend a normal individual brokerage account instead of a Roth IRA. Only because you can only contribute $6000 annually and you have to be 59 1/2 to withdraw tax free. With an individual brokerage account you can contribute as much as you wish which will compound a lot more and a lot faster than being limited on the Roth IRA. Yes you’ll pay taxes on the individual brokerage account but you’ll be making ALOT more than being limited with an Roth IRA and you can contribute unlimited amounts of dollars and retirement a lot sooner.

      The issue is quite simple, when people are losing money its very hard for them to want to add more money into the fire because there is risk some of these coins will disappear.
