Shame what happened to the Monkey Island devs. Hope the game still does well.
As someone who knows nothing about Monkey Island, I love the new/current art style!

When RadioShack was big you could buy and order virtually anything you needed to build or fix virtually anything electronic, like a well stocked hardware store except for geeks and nerds, then modern internet came along and us geeks and nerds started buying their components and tools online and Radioshack became a bleh tech store that sold the same gimmicky novelty tech adjacent junk and cell phones available everywhere else, with nary a transistor or soldering iron to be found.
What monkey island is getting isnt harassment its regular good old feedback to a commercial promo put out on the net.
They now know what portion of their PR sides audience dont like the… blocky/flash puppet Geo-Fauves art style.
I used to work at Radio Shack and now to hear that it’s owned by Tai Lopez? I feel conflicted 😭

Well the artstyle of monkey Island isn't my jam, prefer the more Disney looking one. But ya know I'll just do what I do best and not get it, not gonna go around here harass them to change anything, games come and go, if it's not your thing, then don't get it.
As for radioshack, I hope it crashes and burns, some crypto nees to go, we should have a 1-3 mainline ones, and nothing else, it's like NFT, scam customers, cash out while it's hot.
I think the new art style on Monkey Island looks great! Classic 2D but with it's own identity. I just hope it won't take long to come to other platforms. I mean I have a PS5, X-Box Series S and a few macs. I would even re-animate my iPad if I had to.
Like those misanthropic bastards aren't going to buy the game the moment it comes out.

I am excited to play the new Monkey and I think the art style might look great "in action" but i like it anyway and it probably means that they are able to do more with the in game objects which is all we want from a point in click a billizion different things to interact with!
"sometimes internet is the worst" …… nah… Often times internet is just the worst. It just a little more than sometimes sadly.
s someone who enjoys messing and customizing tech and fixing things myself I miss radio shack. but its much easier to get things online now.
Hard shame on everyone who felt it was ok to go harass the creators because they didn't like the art style. The art style itself looks lovely, reminds me of Broken Age, and it really worked for that game (Shame broken age had other problems, but that's beside the point)
No one complaining about the art style is a real fan. Every game in the series has had a different style.
Haven't seen one of those in years.
So let me get this straight…
A game that is probably going to be a blast…is causing people to be angry losers…because it doesn't have the right kind of graphics?
Nothing has changed since my childhood. 30 years later, and people still cling to the shallow pretense of things being better just because they look sharper or cleaner.
Or they're being absolute scrubs, because a game that will most likely be rated for CHILDREN doesn't get as graphic as God of War.
Talk about losing the plot.
I admit that when I first saw Monkey island the art style, I was a bit put off.,Not sure what it was it was just off. Over time it has grown on me, I am really want to play it!
Sad that we can’t have stylized art anymore, not every art has to look realistic or anime.
Also find it weird that RadioShack went so hard after Coffeezilla, a guy who warns against crypto scams and fake financial gurus… What’s the point in antagonizing someone like that if you’re a legit business?
