The German government has announced it is activating an early warning plan in preparation for possible shortages in gas deliveries from Russia. Economy Minister Robert Habeck said a crisis team was being established to closely monitor gas supplies. This follows Moscow’s demand for payment in rubles which Germany and other importers have rejected.
Habeck – who’s from the environmentalist Green Party – also urged German industry and households to try and conserve energy.

    1. That is a cost to be a US lipdog. How come German still allow US arm on its soil? Such a dumiliating thing for pride German.

    2. The German Greens were also strongly against nuclear power. In fact, opposition to nuclear power was a big part of their founding..

So they bear some blame, too.

    3. Germany 🇩🇪 unfriendly country you have to pay in Rubil if don’t no gas for Germany that’s right there’s is no free gas you don’t pay you don’t get it

    4. Let's just watch closely what the government will do next in the future, especially under the leadership of Scholz, who obviously has no humane conscience. Whole Germany can be completely self-reliant and independent from Russian energy IF THEY REALLY WANT. But if the German political oligarchs don't want it by maneuvering behind the scenes, then we will see the results in the future.

    5. That will go over like a fart in the wind! Petro dollar crash and recession here we come- all for Ukraine. I don’t care about Ukraine- take the L zelensky

    6. Germany is committed to the bragging rights of becoming nuclear-free, much like China’s commitment to becoming COVID-free.

    7. I am an Indian, If I tell our Govt that I will pay my monthly bill in Pakistani Rupees and not in Indian Rupee….The Govt will laugh at me ..for obvious reasons……

So when you buy gas from Russia , you have to pay in Rubles…..where does the question of Blackmail comes…..????

    8. How completely idiotic the German government has naively increased its dependency over the last 15 years! 12 years ago Georgia then Modavia, Donbass and Crimea.. but up and down babble Energy is never a weapon. Greatness brings hubris and arrogance.

    9. Germany should stay out of this conflict anyway. America poked Russia and should pay the price. It should be clear, in 2014 Lindsay Graham and John McCain meet with a group of Asov Battalion Leaders and promised support to fight the Russians in the Donbas. It was all about provoking Russia to intervene and as consequence to weaken Russia. By pushing Germany to support Ukraine the US achieved the goal, weaken Russia and keep Germany and hence the EU down.

    10. I remember when Trump was laughed at by Germany during a summit when he said Germany might be too dependent on Russia when it comes to energy.
      Who's laughing now?

    11. Someone told them in 2018 that they are been held captive in Russian gas and they laughed at him. who is laughing now (Donald J Trump) 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    12. In Germany as in the US the government is run by asylum residents!
I always thought that Germans were smart. Now I question my beliefs, but could also be a case of mass insanity! Lead in the water?
They want oil and gas produced else were, not in their backyard, they are OK with that, if there is no energy, oh well, let do without, and kill the economy and millions of people for the lack of electricity!
The answer is simple: MAKE YOUR OWN FOCKING ENERGY! And don't depend on arsshole countries for your energy needs, restart the reactors, are there no adults in Germany anymore?

    13. So two months have passed, and how has the situation changed? gas, oil and food prices have risen in both Europe and the US. thus the citizens of Europe and the United States pay war tax out of their own pockets.

    14. The EU always like to think ahead hence the smart meter ,one of the ingd they did not tell you when they conned you into one was the fact if there was a gas shortage they can cut off your DOMESTIC gas supply remotely via the meters wirelrss network system , same for your electric supply ,
They wont be cutting off any government offices buildings ,MPs ,Ministers supply because their meters have a different code .
They were not about being green they were about energy control if you thought you were saving the planet having one you got mugged .

Same for their Paris accord if you were caught burning coal you got fined big time but now the EU government & the UK are burning coal again for energy and wont be fineing them selves though what happened to their laws to save the planet ?
Domestic Gas being rationed now then domestic electricity but not the government usage or industry !

    15. Remember when Trump told Germany that relying on Russia for gas was a mistake, and they laughed it off?? I bet they aren't laughing now.

    16. Germany is not alone in this situation. Industrial and modern economies depend on not just oil but all types of rare materials. I will not say we are running out but we are stressing out the availability of many materials. Any case war is about control of material wealth.

    17. Unfortunately, the sacrifice of abiding by sanctions, instead of stopping the war, will lead to more war, poverty, and enmity in the world. God bless everyone, regardless of their nation.

    18. I remember the imbecilic German delegation smirking arrogantly at Donald Trump when he warned them being dependent on Russian gas. I do not think they're laughing now…

    19. Politicians like to tell us that Russia is politicizing oil and Gas, but that is absolutely untrue. On the contrary, we are the ones politicizing our assumed monopoly on everything from international trade, swift payment, arms control, and even individual assets and individual liberty.

    20. All because of the arrogance of NATO. Why would Russia not defend itself economically. Germany needs for pay for there products they want like everyone else. All the while it is the average person that pays for the terrible decisions of leaders that forgot they are there to serve there people period.

    21. Germany will survive this because of their high standard of engineering…. but Russia have no future in this world the west will never ever trust them… they will remain isolated….

    22. From what I understand the US sells natural gas to China. China has not been cut off from Russian LNG. Why would the US not pivot to selling all of this gas to Germany and the EU.

    23. German Minister Habeck obviously suffers from severe Schizophrenia, like almost all EU leaders. He claimed cutting russian gas and oil to crash russian economy. Why he's so concerned today of the ''eventual'' gas cutting from Gazprom ? He achived his initial…goal for god's sake. Now more seriously Mr. ''Chlorophylle'' minister. USA has no sufficient quantities for Europe for both energies. The fact of the Freeport terminal shutdown for repairs from next september to early 2023 (best case senario) is a very serious concern. The world is ruled under ''tight flow'' New gas exploration demands heavy investements and 7-10 years to deliver. Any shortages whatsoever provoke immediate price increase on the spot market. Now you know what happens with russian oil. India buys crude and sells to Europe refined. Of course more expensive. To finish with you ''Chlorophylle'' minister, in France we use to say that people who rarerly take showers or baths that they smell "the tiger" for men, and salted cod fish for women. Do you think Germany will look like circus next winter ?

    24. Soo, eu finally will stop telling other how advantages and prosperous they are, when all above is based on cheap natural and human resources from other countries? Good
