I have to buy what i know will sell in my area. I wish i could branch out more but if you want a liquid coin in America American gold is the best way to go imo.

I picked up a 2022 Double Sov a few weeks ago. To me, at least in the pic the Royal Mint has on their website looks more like Rose Gold. Still waiting for delivery from Royal Mail.
Probably my favourite gold coin if I could only stack one. They're a relative bargain compared to other fractional pieces like you say. Whilst I love an odd maple or Buffalo the focus going forward is filling a tube with the special reverse designs and also picking up different monarch portraits when I can. Keep your eyes out for a young Victoria with a shield reverse too, I think you'll like them

I just picked up a Sovereign yesterday…got it for $480.00. I used to have close to a dozen of these at one time in my stacking journey but sold them all. This is the first one I picked up in a long time. Also you should pull the trigger on the KILO now. You do a vid with that and your subs will blow up. Subd

Sovereigns are my go to. Low premiums, VAT and CGT tax exempt in the UK. What’s not to like?
Because of the history, we get different heads and commemorative designs. Our current monarch has 5 different head and 3 different commemorative designs.
The St George and Dragon has variations too.
I think they never been minted in London,Royal Mint is in Wales 🏴
I do like sovereigns myself and going to buy these only except when I can get a deal
