Even though it’s taken over 10 years of hard work to become a doctor, I’ve chosen to pursue a dramatic career change from my job as a dermatologist towards building a future in the world of blockchain. In this video, I’m going to explore some common responses to this decision (including ‘isn’t crypto all a scam?’), discuss my thought process behind it, and explain why I’m so excited about the world of blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFTs and Web 3.
It’s absolutely inevitable that any time you put out any content to do with this subject, people tend to react very emotionally to it. I’ve never seen as much negativity towards a technology as I have towards cryptocurrency – so please, if you know this topic gets you upset, consider avoiding this video. This explainer is not designed to convince any of you that my decision to leave medicine is right, or that others should follow in my footsteps, it’s just to explain my own thinking to those who follow my journey with interest.

Can you not do both tho? Dermatology is so lucrative in the US – even if you do just a little it would surely be useful? And yk it's also very interesting? I'd totally understand if you were an NHS doctor 💀 but surely it's still a good idea to not give up on derm.
