Question, the reason a 51% attack is so dangerous, is because if someone posts a valid 'longer' chain, even though it's the only node that has it, it will force all the other nodes to dump their copy of the blockchain and assume this new one is the valid one. Besides just the difficulty of performing a 51% attack in the Bitcoin network, is there any other protection to prevent a single node to override the majority?

    5. How does it keep track of weather it not a person has that amount of money to transfer? In this example what's stopping somebody from just transferring a million dollars to somebody else? How's the system back track through the chain to validate the amounts being transferred are legitimate and not just arbitrary million dollar transfers?
