The US has never been a true friend of India and as such India should be wary of being painted into a corner by her, especially by a Democratic administration. With Iran and Venezuela out of the energy market, the addition of Russia is just going to make fossil fuel resources market tighter. As it the US is unable to control the prices in their domestic energy market and curtailment of Russian resources will drive prices to the roof. Besides, it's a matter of time before some EU nations cave in to their economic predicament and do deals with Russia. The Europeans are worse than the US rattle snake.
