Just throwing it out there, I currently work at a mine in Canada that is 8800 feet deep, 3000 feet is normal
I picked on up on that same comment too. they're the hardest minerals in the world and they don't get damaged by a grinding machine but if somebody dropped one on the floor it would damage it that didn't really make sense

Yeah….the diamond could fall and be damaged by the floor after surviving a massive drill, grinders, hammer mills, and an acid bath. That 1 meter fall to the floor could really spell its doom.
