Gas prices rose by one penny Wednesday, marking an end to a historic 99-day streak of falling prices. With the lower prices, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is now at an all time low. The SPR has the capacity to hold about 727 million barrels of oil in salt mines and caves along the Gulf Coast. Right now, it has a little more than half of that. Daniel Turner, an advocate with America`s Energy Workers, weighs in on the strategic oil reserves.
