The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will convene on Friday at the request of Russia to discuss damage to two Russian gas pipelines to Europe.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday blamed the U.S. and its allies for blowing up the undersea Nord Stream pipelines, raising the temperature in a crisis that has left Europe racing to secure its energy infrastructure and supplies. In a speech to mark the annexation of four Ukrainian regions invaded by Russian forces, Putin offered no evidence for the claim. Russia has previously said the U.S. would profit from attacks on Europe’s energy infrastructure.
Some European officials and energy experts have said Russia is likely to blame for any sabotage. It directly benefits from higher energy prices and economic anxiety across Europe – although others cautioned against pointing fingers until investigators are able to determine what happened.
On Thursday, a fourth leak on the Nord Stream pipelines was reported off southern Sweden, according to the Swedish coast guard. Two of the leaks are on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline that recently stopped supplying gas, while the other two are on Nord Stream 2, which never started operating. Although they were not running, the leaks caused methane to escape and bubble to the surface.

Who benefits: Russia? No, this stops not only any current income, but also the entire major section of Russia's economy, now and for at least a decade. They have lost the leverage for negotiations to get Germany and EU to drop sanctions. China? No, China will still get gas/oil from Russia and continue to sell it to EU at even higher prices. That's why EU has now put in a sanction on limiting gas prices. So China can't raise prices on the extra gas. Perhaps China will stop selling EU gas whatsoever. India? This has no effect to them. Ukraine? They don't have the skills or nuclear subs to carry this off. So, what about UK? Yes, they have the military manpower but not the capability to carry out such huge devastation.
So that leave the USA. They have a history of this type of behaviour. They have the military and manpower to carry out such a project. They don't care if Germany and other EU countries have no heat, no factories operating, or no food. This is a USA operation. I only hope someone who participated in this, will eventually have a moral conscience and come forward for forgiveness.
